How does split definition play out in a practical sense? I am a 6/2 Manifestor with the following defined channels: 26/44, 31/7, 33/13, and 35/36. Most of my difficulty seems to lie in the 35/36, but I wonder how one recognizes difficulties in other areas if one particular aspect overshadows the others. I may be making more of this than is necessary, but I wondered whether the various defined channels will manifest their own problems and whether there's enough time left in my lifetime to work them all out!

Maybe I'm missing something here, but one thing leaps at me from the bodygraph posted here. With a split definition you will suddenly feel unity and completeness when transitions or nearby auras join your split. In this case gate 21 will join the split, and so the flavour of gate 21 will be deeply familiar. If any of the outer planets are in gate 21, you will feel complete for some time, maybe three years, then suddenly - oops it's gone. To add to the force here, there are three things present in gate 45 Personality Uranus (aware unusualness) in 45-5, Design Uranus (unconscious unusualness) in 45-4 and North Node (destiny) in 45-3. That covers all three resonances, so every line of gate 21 feels good and connects fluently.

I'm just checking in Richard Rudd's new book - Circuitry - on this and he describes gate 45 as "people who are here to oversee the future and wealth of the community" and with Uranus this will be in unusual ways, especially in later years of life (North Node - generally kicks in after 42 years old). So this is a regal person, naturally feeling and widely seen as owning (or disowning) the resources of the tribe (45-21 is the Money Line), in some unusual way. But without the 21 she lacks a prime minister, or administrator, as she will not want to get her own hands dirty. With the motors on both sides of the split, gate 21 becomes a powerful electromagnetic. People with gate 21 will always find her and want to work for her, for their share of the pie of course.

Similarly gate 16 will join the split I think, so her "not-self" also spends much of the time in 16 as well as 21. Richard Rudd describes gate 48 as "people born with a wisdom so natural that they rarely see it themselves until someone asks... People with a 48 in their design are sitting on a fount of natural wisdom waiting for the right moment to be shared... Without the 16th gate 48's have no clear way of recognising theur depth, and thus no ability or skills to apply it to the world. THis is whu this is the gate of inadequacy." And so, skilful patient hardworking professional people, masters of their special niche trades, will be very sexy to this woman.

Then there are four possible sets of two gates that will join her split 46&51, 40&37, 20&57, and 59&57. Have I checked this correctly? Normally this is just random how two gates combine, and other than this list she needs 3 gates, which would be quite a coincidence, possibly a "falling in love" or spiritual moment when that happens.

The 40 & 37 link is one of only three that ocur in exact opposition on the wheel. That means that the during last week of February and the week when August turns into September the whole channel is completed by the sun and earth opposition. Also the Nodes of the Moon, perhaps once in her life, will spend three months or so gloriously completing her split (I had this recently when the Nodes joined my own split in the 20-34, it was so groovy!). Furthermore, a number of people are born during those weeks and that three months and they will be be nice to be near, as their aura slams in the 40-37. This is another tribal link, the Channel of Community, so the woman is a tribe magnet, perhaps. "This channel represents the marriage contract and the family and is the foundation of any community. It is about finding the right allies to bond with in order to create harmony in the community." (Richard Rudd - Circuitry) This chart shows someone who is always meeting people who emobody this.

I doubt if this makes a comfortable life. She has very little in line 4 - not a networker by nature, and her profile of 6-2 - role-model/hermit is perhaps more aloof and withdrawn and little socialising.

I'm kind of busking my own tunes here but for any split definition, is it not interesting to see which gates join the split, and then you probably find family and friends embody those gates, and times of the year when it just feels like party time, until the dreadful hangover when it suddenly flops and life feels really hard for a while.

Sarah, thank you for the helpful explanation of split definition as applies specifically to my design. I have a couple of questions arising from your reply. First of all, I cannot help but recognize that the solid black 35/36 is what is wreaking havoc in my life right now...and has been for the last few years, to one extent or another. I wonder if you could give me an idea of what my emotional life might have been had either half of the channel been defined on an unconscious level or if each were defined on both the conscious/unconscious or unconscious levels? How would that have made things better or worse? (although I truly cannot imagine it being worse than what I'm currently experiencing!)

My second question pertains to your statement "...your 26/44 is a projected element of who you are. As such this is a place where projector themes can come into play in your life." What do you mean by "projected element" and how is that apparent on the chart?

When ever you are looking at split definition there are a few things which play out within your life. The first thing to note is that where we have splits we have two or more areas of definition which are not connected to each other. So they are not consistently communicating with each other. A major impact of this is the time it takes to get clear about things. We all have our own unique timing. For you to act with clarity all of you needs to be on board. This means waiting our your emotional wave and also means waiting for that information to integrate through to your 26/44 so that what you are initiating as a manifestor will be something which will allow you to be recognized as a transmitter, someone who is capable of transmitting a truth, product message, whatever this may, be to the tribe. When you are looking at your splits its helpful to look at them in terms of their type. You are an emotional manifestor, this is not in question, however your 26/44 is a projected element of who you are. As such this is a place where projector themes can come into play in your life. For example this is a place where you can be bitter because your ability to transmit knowledge to the tribe has not been recognized. One strategy for added clarity for you is to go out into a public place where you can be alone. The aura of the world will hook up your splits without giving you any kind of direct conditioning. If you are trying to make a decision this can be a useful exercise for you because it will allow all of you to participate in the decision making process.

As far as why the 35/36 stands out so much to you, partly this is because the 35/36 is your only definition which is entirely conscious (colored in black). What is conscious within us we can relate to - it is how we see ourselves and we have access to it and these activations will always stand out more to us than what is unconscious (in red). All of your other definitions have unconscious elements. These unconscious elements you don't have direct access to and so your personality doesn't relate to them as deeply. This is not necessarily the case with those around you. Take your channel of leadership for example - the 31/7. You may not identify with being a leader as deeply as you do with being emotional because the expression of this leadership comes out of unconsciously, but this does not mean that those around you won't recognize your potential as a leader as much as they will recognize other elements of who you are.

Learning to understand how your emotional wave works through the 35/36 is a big part of coming to understand yourself as this is what defines your type and your authority - combine that with the fact that this is your only entirely conscious definition it seems natural to me that this would be a major focus for you in the beginning of your process.

Another thing to consider - when ever you are dealing with a split definition, if you have a definition that has access to the throat (can speak) this is where we live from as the not self. As the not self we are generally living on the 'surface' of ourselves. The throat center is the center for manifestation , and this is where everything is pointed. The part of you that is not connected to the throat can get ignored along the way because it does not consistently manifest itself. So as a split with a manifesting capability you will naturally identify with the manifesting element as this is where you have been living from as the not-self.

Deconditioning is a seven year process - it doesn't happen over night - but it can definitely happen in your life time! All it takes is for you to live out your experiment. Inform others before you act after riding out your wave and coming to a place of clarity. Then everything within you, all of your definitions will work just perfectly...
