Looking for a new place on the planet. Somewhere near an international airport with afforable access to UK, warm during the British winter, space for painting masterpieces and ideally space for a grand piano. Fresh fish in local restaurants. Sea close by or otherwise spectacular scenery. Wife wants discos and shopping and genuinely beautiful young people like on MTV rather than retired old fogeys. I think retired old fogeys have a lot to contribute, but then I'm the one with the sense of adventure...

Recommendations welcome, agencies sought to propose property to rent or buy (bargain investments only). Ideas so far Vinaros in Spain, Collioure in France, Florianopolis in Brazil, ...

I have an offer to build a wooden hut in a simple village of third world poverty with no electricity or water within the temples of Angkor Wat in Cambodia. So tempting...

But life without power for the laptop, without a shower, without a door lock, in a land where chickens live with people in the same huts in these days of Pluto on Gate 26 (causing Bird Flu), tummy says no most days, head says go on, yeah but no but yeah but...

Australia did not excite me, when I visited Perth many years ago... Bad memories really are our personal lighthouses of juxtaposition, (is this a queue to post a blurt on juxtaposition theory?), so tummy and head both say no to Australia.

Thanks for visiting this corner of the forum maze, have a blindingly dazzling life now...

Sounds like Byron Bay area Australia would be good, anywhere on the Ausey coast is amazing. I am biased though. Glenda
