As a generator, I am learning to be aware of my sacral response. I have noticed that sometimes I get a "yes" response and yet, I still have trouble finding the motivation to move forward with the task. Should I assume that I misunderstood the response or does motivation come from some other source?
The response process of the sacral is a bit like dealing with a child. Not in the sense that it is immature, but in the sense that it has no need to explain or elaborate on it's response. Your sacral might tell you what it wants but won't give you the why, when or how.
So imagine a typical conversation with a two year old:
Do you want some food?
Yes!
Good, here is some spagetti.
No!
But you said you were hungry?
No!
So you are not hungry?
No!
You are hungry?
Yes!
OK, let's start again. Are you hungry?
Yes!
Do you want this spagetti?
No!
Do you want something else?
No!
You want this spagetti?
Yes!
Then here it is.
No!
Do you want ketchup on the spagetti?
Yes!!!!!!!!!!!!
If you had the patience to read that one through you'll see that the sacral will often be saying yes or no to only part of the question and it is up to you to ask further and find out the details.
So if you say yes to something, it might mean you want to do it, but not necessarily at that time, or perhaps you want to do it but just not with the people who are asking you...and so on. A little exploring usually uncovers it. It really helps to have people around who treat you like a sacral person:
they keep asking you questions with variations on the same theme.
