Edward Stanton is opening his house to students or professionals to live in an atmosphere where Human Design is spoken and meals are taken together in the tradition of the Socratic peripatetic salon. The location is on the beautiful Island of Martha's Vineyard one of the loveliest parts of the American East Coast and will begin on November first. Ed has studied HD since 1993 and has collected a vast data base that will be available to serious students. This is an opportunity for deep study or tutoring. The winter months in New England are conducive to such indoor activities. This Island has no Macdonalds, billboards shopping malls or Walmarts and is only seven miles from the mainland by ferry. Hello all,
A month or so ago I returned from spending a week with Human Design System Teacher (& student!) Ed Stanton at Martha's Vineyard. The intention was to study the Rave Cartography II course.
I knew it would be the right experience for me as my sacral led the way however it has taken me until recently to know quite how to describe my experience.
Ed is a wonderful, easy-going host who likes to share experiences and conversation over a hearty meal. He is also very happy to show visitors the intense beauty (even in Winter!) and curiousities that are particular to his beloved island in the north atlantic.
'Study' with Ed is really about becoming absorbed with Human Design as an everyday experience. I was able to ask Ed all the questions I had going around in my head about the Human Design System from the technical to the philosophical. We had some amazing discussions and the depth of Ed's knowledge of HDS, and life, is quite something.
I had the benefit of being able to listen to some of his extensive audio library (ahhh, for more time!) as an adjunct to the RCII course, and also the privilege of reading some of the early materials published by Ra.
I have realised since I returned that the ABC Course and Rave Cartography II are not just about deeper learning into the system, but are also a key part of the seven year deconditioning process. I feel I probably got what I needed for where I am in this process during my visit with Ed. It changed me - I had that experience of returning home and everything looks different. It's not really different, I was just seeing it through different eyes.
What each person gets from their experience of studying with Ed will be different - for me the big 'a-ha' was the realisation of the illusion of the mind and the stories it tells us.

Was it 1963 when the Beatles appeared on the Ed Sullivan show? He has become an international legend – to prove to the British public someone is really someone, the sheer authority of Ed Sullivan was used last week to show our national treasure Bill Oddie also on the Ed Sullivan show with the team that later became Monty Python.
I wonder if one day, people in Human Design will wish they had been on the Ed Stanton show?
Ed is in some ways the nearest you can get today to some flavour of early Ra Uru Hu. They are very different, but have certain things in common. I went to stay with Ed in December 2005, when he had just found new premises on Martha’s Vineyard to welcome Human Design students who want a deeper and more original grasp of what all this is.
I was on my journey – and the path gets ugly sometimes, so I cannot really comment objectively at all. I will say this. I was not radiance and light, actually I was in a particularly shitty phase of my own deconstruction. I suspect Ed has certain shamanic powers, for it is as if old tribal medicine is there, and within days, my face was GLOWING. I have such photos. I choose to think that Ed had a lot to do with that.
Ed certainly has a lot of profound Human Design materials and knowledge, which is why I nearly cancelled going. Currently I seek to empty my tank, but for those needing a fill up, it is all there and Ed is an old fisherman, so expect some personal anecdotes from a life well lived. I suspect Ed uses his medicinal powers in unusual ways.
I remain concerned that nobody seems to realise what a treasure we have in the early people who came to Human Design, and who linked with Ra personally and deeply before he had any real celebrity status and all the remoteness that naturally comes with all that now. You will not get close to Ra unless he randomly picks you, and as a family man, Ra has his focus. If you yearn for that taste of special energy and a glimpse of what it is like to know Ra personally, my recommendation is to book your appearance on the Ed Stanton show before all these legends are just memories in the cosmic soup.

I just returned from a 12 day stay with Ed Stanton on Martha's Vineyard. I highly recommend this opportunity to be immersed in the study of Human Design. Whether you are a newcomer or a more seasoned student , this environment offers the chance to discuss Human Design and ask questions with someone who has studied with Ra and been in the Human Design Community since it's inception in the States.
The island is stunning and Ed's home is very comfortable and located in a quiet wooded area with lots of nice walking and biking trails close by. I enjoyed listening to Ed's extensive Human Design audios on my MP3 player while exploring the island by foot and bicycle. Ed did most of the cooking(Yum) and we had many stimulating conversations during meals.
Any serious student will benefit from this in person immersion into the Human Design system. Check it out for yourself
